About Me
A tumultuous youth who, at some point, managed to blossom into a stubborn but well intentioned adult.
I struggled for over a decade with mental health issues, demons of both the personal and corporeal nature, and substance abuse. Luckily for me, fitness turned out to be a wonderful coping mechanism and my interest in health spiraled into something glorious.
I wanted to get involved in the fitness industry so that I could have a positive impact on others, but the ethics of local operations at the time left a bad taste in my mouth and I switched my focus to holistic nutrition. I have never been good at monetizing myself, and I left the health sphere to work in the non-profit sector. I worked with some incredible people and had the privilege of seeing the heart of human compassion. In that time, I learned a lot about myself and I became more focused on my impact on the world.
I try to live a life with less stuff, less stress, and more room for joie de vivre and human connection. Part of that is this blog. My hope is that my writing can change your life and help you find health and happiness in a way that works for you. The capacity we have as individuals, our bodies and minds, has always amazed me; and now I am finally in a place, personally, where I feel confident to share that with you.
So here I am.
